  • CHICAGO, June 26, 2023  -- Health Analytics Connect (HAC) is pleased to announce that Mary Henderson has joined the Health Care Cost Institute’s Governing Board. Mary is thrilled to join the HCCI’s distinguished Governing Board as their newest member. As a new board member, Mary brings more than 30 years of experience in designing and implementing business intelligence products in the healthcare reporting and analytics industry. She has conducted analyses of cost, utilization, and quality of healthcare benefits and health management programs for many top U.S. employers, leading health plans, and large provider organizations. Mary is excited to contribute her expertise and to collaborate with the Governing Board to strengthen HCCI’s company's position further and drive its growth and success.

    Mary was the President of the CVS/Aetna-owned subsidiary Health Data Management Solutions (HDMS), where HDMS provided leading-edge healthcare analytics solutions and consulting to large employers, payers, and provider systems, including international engagements. She then served as Senior Vice President of Business Solutions at the American Medical Association. Her responsibilities included overseeing the CPT licensing business, the Provider credentialing products, and the data management and licensing for the Physician Master File, the most comprehensive database on physicians and other health professionals in the US.

    Mary’s most recent position was with Blue Health Intelligence (BHI), a Blues-owned company specializing in advanced data analytics and solutions empowered by the country's largest commercial claims database. She served as Executive Vice President and oversaw all sales of products and services, account management, and product development.

    Mary has a PhD from Brandeis University, focusing on health economics, and a BA in psychology from Temple University, graduating summa cum laude.
